Notes for my Woman

Dear woman,

You are beautiful, you are unique. Love your skin, love your hair, love your body, ‘cos there’s only one you.

Listen to your intuition about what is right for you. Take care of yourself because you matter. It is okay to be selfish sometimes.

You’re doing fine. You do not need to put the weight of the world on your shoulders. It is okay to rest.

Please, do not give up. You are capable of doing all that you’ve set out to do. You don’t know who you’re inspiring daily.

You do not need to beg anyone to love you and anyone that doesn’t recognize how special you are does not deserve you.

Do not hide, do not cower, do not be afraid. Do not allow anyone to to make you feel less than you are. Raise your head high and stand proud. You are exactly who you think you are.

You are going to accomplish great things and you will look back at the times when you thought you wouldn’t make it and appreciate your experiences and all that you’ve achieved.

Do not procrastinate and do not be lazy. Do the work and allow your work to speak for itself. Add value, always add value.

You don’t have to be perfect all the time and you do not have to conform to anyone’s standards. Just do you, and remember it is okay to not be okay.

Be open to learning. You can only get better so always grab opportunities to help you improve.

You need good friends. You cannot do life alone. You don’t need to be friends with the whole world and if you have two or three great people in your corner, do not let them go.

You are loved by God, your family, and your friends. Someone appreciates you every day. You are not alone.
