WIFE MATERIAL

I’m not going to dwell on how much I’ve been procrastinating my updates because I’ll just bore you with excuses…

Today’s the 21st of March 2019 and I’m writing this by 12:17am. Mind you, I started writing this on the 19th. I’ve successfully resumed at school for second semester. I remember thinking that I’d share my travel experience with you but I was asleep throughout the journey.

Well, I’ve been trying to remind myself that I’m back at school but I’m not sure my brain will be getting that message till next week. I checked my results by the way, they were good, thank God.

In the space of three weeks, I’ve grown taller (better believe it), I’ve gotten a new pair of heels, reorganized my playlist, finally watched new movies, turned 20 and gotten joint custody of this beautiful puppy, Pixie.

Don’t believe what I said about joint custody. She belongs to my friend.

Moving on, there’s this responsibility that comes with taking care of pets. They’re like children in a way because they’re dependent on you for food, shelter, attention, and whatever else you have to offer. Caring for them involves the investment of your time and money.

Responsibility involves being accountable for your actions. You either take the praise or the blame. These days, we shy away from responsibilities. I’m not necessarily talking about delegated duties because it’s a lazy generation after all.. Lol.

Let’s focus on being accountable for our actions. That’s being responsible. We tend to quickly shift the blame to other people when issues arise. It may not be conscious but at the first instance, we tend not to own up to our short comings because there’s always this strong need to justify our actions. Most of us don’t even accept that we’re wrong until it has been consistently drilled into our minds.

Nobody says we shouldn’t try to explain ourselves but we should also take corrections and own up to our mistakes when need be. Responsibility shows maturity. It’s not necessarily by the words that come out of your mouth but your actions. Okay, that’s all for today.

By now, you should have noticed that the title of this writeup doesn’t have anything to do with the writeup itself. I just remembered the other day when my dad called me wife material. 😌

So, let’s try to be responsible. Amen? Amen. Meanwhile, I have a class by 8 and back to back classes from 11 till 3. I need motivation 😭😭

Love,

‘Ruona ❤️

Ps:

How’s school treating you?

On a scale of 1-10, how responsible are you?

Do you love pets? Any experiences?

Who thinks I’m wife material? 😁😁

  3. It’s good to take responsibilities for your actions and learn from your mistakes or other people’s mistakes to make a better you. Mmm about pets … they’re nice but to lie on one’s bed, I wonder. For students, are they not distractions and additional expenses?

  9. Nice read. Here’s my take: On responsibility…you can’t run away from it if you plan to impact positively and be a better person. On pets…mmm…I guess Ruona got to love pets, dogs especially, cos she grew up with an alsatian (Dusty) in the house. Pets are nice to be with…but it depends on what type of pet we are talking about. I don’t like cats. I certainly will not have snakes for pets! On wife material…several factors comes to play…but there’s one you can always count on…the fear of God!
